Shaun Frank Releases Sultry New ‘Addicted’ Single Featuring Violet Days: Listen

Shaun Frank also enlists the help of The Chainsmoker’s Drew Taggart to co-write the track.

Shaun Frank is no stranger to teamwork, having collaborated with everyone from Steve Aoki to KSHMR and Oliver Heldens. And for his latest, the Canadian artist enlisted the help of his friend Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers — with whom he helped write and compose the monster hit “Closer” — to co-write a track of his own.

The result this time is “Addicted,” a dance-pop jam featuring Swedish indie-pop artist (and co-writer) Violet Days that makes use of an airy, tropical house beat, velvety piano chords and lyrics that ponder the line between love and obsession: “breathe you in like a cigarette / feels so good, though it’s dangerous,” opens the first verse.

“I think love might be one of the hardest addictions to kick, and feeding it can be one of the best feelings in the world,” Frank tells Billboard of the track. “I hope you enjoy this song as much as I enjoyed creating it with Violet Days… Maybe you’ll even get addicted to it.”

“Addicted” follows up Ultra Music releases “Upsidedown” and “No Future.” Kick off the weekend with Frank’s latest below, and stick with us after the jump for his fall touring schedule.
