Jhene Aiko Announces North American “Trip” Tour

Singer/songwriter Jhené Aiko will hit the road this fall in support of her #1 R&B Album, Trip, released on September 29th via Def Jam.

The 16-city North America headlining trek will kick off on November 14th at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, and make stops in major cities like Philadelphia, New York, Houston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles before commencing on December 27th at the Republik in Honolulu. Willow Smith and Kitty Cash will be joining the tour as support and St. Beauty and Kodie Shane will be performing on select dates.

Ticket pre-sales begin today, Thursday, October 12. Tickets will go on sale to the public tomorrow Friday, 10:00 a.m. (local time). Please see all tour dates below.

Aiko’s ‘Trip’ album is backed by a 23-minute short film of the same name, and the 22-songs set includes guest appearances from Big Sean, John Mayer, Swae Lee, Kurupt, Chris Brown, and Brandy. The project also serves as a tribute to the changes that have rocked her life and career these past years, including the tragic loss of her brother to cancer in 2012, and her journey to try to manage her grief through relationships, substances, and art.

TRIP is the long-awaited follow-up to Jhené Aiko’s critically hailed debut album Souled Out, which entered the R&B Albums chart at #1 upon its release in 2014.
